Quality Product Assurance

In order to ensure our customers receive products of the highest quality, IPS personnel practice consistent and continuous scrutiny within the IPS facility.  In addition to rigorous in-house inspections, IPS also welcomes periodic audits from the following independent agencies:

AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction):  The objective of the AISC is to provide a rigorous examination of the IPS organization, professional engineering, manufacturing policies, procedures and practices, including IPS quality assurance standards and controls over each function.  IPS currently meets the requirements for certification as set forth in the AISC, CATEGORY MB, METAL BUILDING SYSTEMS QUALITY CERTIFICATION PROGRAM.
FM Approvals (Factory Mutual): IPS products have been tested extensively at the Factory Mutual facility for compliance under wind uplift and various fire standards to verify product performance.  FM audits raw material and finished product records as well as the records of IPS vendors.
UL (Underwriters Laboratories):  Unscheduled audits are performed by UL to verify manufacturing compliance with published standards and standards used in various test procedures that have been conducted at UL facilities.
SwRI (Southwest Research Institute):  Quarterly audits are conducted by SwRI to monitor IPS manufacturing procedures and the quality of finished products.  Results of the audit are compared to the listed information in the SwRI/IPS Quality Control Manual.
