Textured Finish
IPS panels are available with acrylic based textured finish that provides a stucco-like appearance. Our numerous textured finishes allow for an architecturally pleasing look to your exterior design. The finish is applied and cured at the IPS facility in a controlled temperature environment to ensure excellent adhesion and long-term performance. This allows for the panels to be successfully installed in cold and wet climates.
Mildew resistant and dirt accumulation resistant technology within the finish provides for low maintenance. Moisture cannot penetrate the metal skins of the panel or collect within the panel itself to affect structural integrity.
IPS’ textured finishes combined with our IMP offering typically perform better than Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS). This product is also known as synthetic stucco and consists of three layers: foam insulation board, a polymer and cement base coat and a textured finish coat. EIFS most commonly are applied to storefronts. IMPs allow for easier field installation, have a better R-value per inch than expanded polystyrene, have an incorporated air barrier and are a stronger structural system that is less sensitive to deflection. In addition, EIFS layers can be damaged if moisture is trapped behind its layers.
